Created by artist and advocate Mimi Rankin Webb as a resource for Shreveport-Bossier Area Moms where they can come to chat, learn from each other, post ideas, connect for friendships and support, form playgroups, and meet-ups. Provides various services including Goldman School offerings, GREAT and things such as living quarters for those with disabilities.
Basic Necessities: Diaper Bank
Basic Necessities provides free diapers, period products & incontinence supplies to people facing economic challenges in the ArkLaTex.
They provide free meals, monthly food distribution, neighborhood improvement, and senior citizen social activities.
The Bossier and Caddo Parish Food Stamp Programs, such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and LaCAP, provide monthly benefits to low-income households and Louisiana residents at least 60 years old to assist in a portion of their food budget, respectfully. Residents ages 60 years old or older must receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) in order to be considered partially eligible for LaCAP. SNAP participants may also be eligible for Women, Infants & Children Program (WIC) offered by the Louisiana Department of Health. They provide meals to the elderly, ADRC, in-home services, information & referrals, ombudsman, legal services, senior center and dining sites, material aid, medical alert, recreation, personal care, wellness activities, NFCSP services, and support groups.
They provide utility assistance and assistance to parents to get their children into Early and Head Start programs.

CCAA offers low-income home energy assistance (LIHEAP), Shreveport Water Assistance Program (SWAP), donated clothing/household items, weatherization services (WAP), and housing counseling.

They offer a variety of literacy programs, community meals, and adult ministries that includes a food pantry.
Provides programs to those who are homeless and diagnosed with chronic mental illness. CSP offers services to families whose children suffer from abuse and neglect. Also, CSP offers housing services for low-income and disabled families.

Families Helping Families Region 7 (of NWLA)
Provides a variety of information/services on disabilities that are available in the area and will refer to other organizations for more information. Some of the services they offer are Early Steps, training on education laws (IEP), transition services (ITP), LaCAN, lending library, support groups for families and self advocates, Peer to Peer supports, travel stipens and workshops.
They offer food, diapers, and formulas to parents in Bossier City in need.
The Food Bank has several programs: food distribution, disaster relief, the Backpack program, Kids Café after school meals, summer food services, the Senior Program, the Mobile Pantry, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). All these programs are aimed at fighting hunger.
The Foster Closet at Cypress Baptist Church
A free resource for NW Louisiana's foster parents to access items needed to provide for the care and nurture of the foster children entrusted to them.
Builds new homes that are affordable for low-income individuals who could not obtain adequate housing or financing through conventional means.
Some of their services offered: assistance for SNAP, Medicaid/ Medicare, alcohol & drug addiction. They provide meals, clothing, hair cuts, and life skills.
Provides shelter to the homeless.

Is a non-profit 501(c)3 community service organization dedicated to providing HIV/AIDS education, information, and support to Northwest Louisiana. They offer case management that can help with transportation, nutritional assistance, housing, utility/rental assistance, support groups, mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, dental assistance, and the SPNS Program
They provide shelter and support services to single men, single women, or married couples with children.

The Salvation Army offers the following services: Merkle Center of Hope. Shelter for men, women and children is provided. Those in need must have a valid ID (school, driver’s license, military, or employee). They offer Veterans Lodge & transitional assistance program, social service office assistance, food assistance, programs for boys and girls (Boys & Girls Club), Saints Alive! Senior Adult Program, disaster services, Red Kettle Campaign, holiday assistance, utility assistance (those interested must half the cut-ff notice and make appointment 3 to 4 days before service is to be disconnected. Appointments are guaranteed; assistance is not!), and worship services on Sundays.

Provides programs for women and children who have gone through sex trafficking and sexual explotation, called Purchase. The Lovewell Center is a membership based program and resource center designed to help its members "move out of poverty and homelessness." Members are served meals, attend classes, and earn point for use in The Lovewell stores.
They offer social services such as food, clothing, utility payments, rental and mortgage assistance, donated furniture, city bus passes, and referrals to other organizations providing additional services that they aren't able to cover.
