🎃 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms 🎃

 Enjoy corn mazes, pumpkin patches, haunted attractions, murdery mystery dinners & more! That fall chill is in the air which means that it's time for the 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms, y'all!  I don't know about you guys, but I cannot WAIT to head out to the farm with the kids for a breath of fresh air. I want to go get lost in their corn field, watch the kids jump in their jumpy-thing, root for my favorite piggy in the piggy races and just enjoy the beautiful fall day! There is SO much to do out there, I could easily spend the entire day AND evening out there.  If you have older kids, you CAN literally do exactly that on Fridays and Saturday nights with their Murder Mystery Dinners for us adults AND their Haunted Attraction features for the older kiddos!  How much fun can one place provide? The Toddler Trio Tree Adventures, Continued: Triplet Christmas In Shreveport, LA

The tree has now been up since Thanksgiving night. Ever since then, it has stood in the corner, leaning in its cracked little stand, awaiting the arrival of its shiny new stand.  Friday evening, that new stand arrived. Thankfully, it is the same stand, just a little bit beefier which should make it much more sturdy than its predecessor.  That night, Husband, Bregon and I made THE SWITCH. I assembled the new stand and Husband picked up the tree while Bregon removed the old stand and slid the new one into place.  It was done. The tree now stood straight and tall in its new stand, firmly planted on top of the antique steamer trunk in the far corner of our living room.  All we had to do now, was decorate it. It was really too late to get everything out by the time everything was together on Friday night, so we decided to wait.  The babies didn't realize anything was different, and they treated it the same way they did each and every day.  Kaiden and Kian each g...

Saved By the "Goldfish" (or part 2 of A Mumsy of Multiples' Best Friend

Now, both Kian and Kai can walk. Today, I learned exactly what other people meant when they talk about triplets being a handful.  It’s easy to chase one baby. However, throw in another walker, and you start to wonder exactly how one is supposed to go about keeping them all out of harm’s way.  Add in the third baby who does what we call the "Half-crawl" which is where she sort of walks on one leg while dragging the other one underneath her body.  She knows how to crawl the “Normal” way, but this way is FASTER for her, oddly enough!  Now, you have to understand that the new house is MUCH larger than the last one.  It’s also very open and has a fireplace and an upstairs. For the first time every, the babies have been allowed to just BE.  There isn’t any need for the tiny play-yard here. This arrangement seemed fine at first, too.  Then Kian decided to go mobile and my world changed FOREVER! This meant that both he and Kai could both walk in different dire...
