Mini-Van 101...Installing 3 Toddler Seats

It has finally happened. No longer shall I have to drive around town feeling like a circus clown driving one of those tiny clown cars where the clowns keep pouring out of it even though it seems quite impossible for that many people to have ever fit inside in the first place.  Gone are the days of being forced to drive with the trunk bungeed shut to accommodate the super-huge, extra-long, limo-sized stroller.  I will just have to find a way to break myself of worry about someone rear-ending us and totally the stroller (a bigger worry than totally the car, actually, as they aren't easily obtainable and replaceable!)  I have entered into the realm of the "Mini-van Mum." Yep, you guessed it, on Friday, I became the proud owner of a Mini-van.  You are probably groaning at the way I am embracing my fate, but seriously, when one has triplets and a 12 year old (I know he is almost 13,) a car becomes far too small for comfort.  People were forever staring at me funny wh...

Doctor Appointment Blues: An Hour Early, STIL Fifteen Minutes Late

Every new mom has to adjust to life with her new baby.  Prior to birth, they read articles in magazines, excerpts from books, and get countless amounts of advice from their peers on how they will have to adjust their lives, from the unsuspecting and care-free days they enjoyed prior to giving birth, to the hectic and often blurry days to come once baby arrives.  None of this can quite prepare any mom for those first few outings with their new baby.  In fact, my triplets are fifteen months tomorrow, and I STILL haven’t quite figured it all out yet.  In the beginning, the NICU thought they were being nice and helpful by releasing only one of my tiny trio from the hospital.  This was meant to help me adjust to life with one newborn preemie before I was suddenly faced with life with three.  We later figured out that Kai was really sent home for bad behavior, lol.  He was forever screaming at their suitemate to BE QUIET in baby-language for example. That fall chill is in the air which means that it's time for the 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms, y'all!  I don't know about you guys, but I cannot WAIT to head out to the farm with the kids for a breath of fresh air. I want to go get lost in their corn field, watch the kids jump in their jumpy-thing, root for my favorite piggy in the piggy races and just enjoy the beautiful fall day! There is SO much to do out there, I could easily spend the entire day AND evening out there.  If you have older kids, you CAN literally do exactly that on Fridays and Saturday nights with their Murder Mystery Dinners for us adults AND their Haunted Attraction features for the older kiddos!  How much fun can one place provide?
