Enjoy corn mazes, pumpkin patches, haunted attractions, murdery mystery dinners & more! That fall chill is in the air which means that it's time for the 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms, y'all!  I don't know about you guys, but I cannot WAIT to head out to the farm with the kids for a breath of fresh air. I want to go get lost in their corn field, watch the kids jump in their jumpy-thing, root for my favorite piggy in the piggy races and just enjoy the beautiful fall day! There is SO much to do out there, I could easily spend the entire day AND evening out there.  If you have older kids, you CAN literally do exactly that on Fridays and Saturday nights with their Murder Mystery Dinners for us adults AND their Haunted Attraction features for the older kiddos!  How much fun can one place provide? Something Worth Biting For!

Recently, as part of the adjustment to our new move, my trio have taken to new eating habits.  Usually, they will sit in their little feeding chairs and eat whatever it is that I serve them.  As of late, it has become my habit to sit at our tiny table and have my lunch while they have theirs in the feeding chairs.  Today, they finished earlier than I did. I very innocently let them out of their chairs and moved them out of the way to the cubby-hole next to the buffet.  I sat back down to finish my lunch, only to find myself mobbed by my tiny trio.  Kian looked at me with his very huge baby blue's and said in his sweetest little voice, "May I try?"  Vivie just stood there with her hand on my knee, looking up at me with her baby blue's saying, "Mmmm."  Kai figured out that they were basically begging for food and being that he preferred to know what it was that he was eating BEFORE actually tasting it, he wandered off in search of his truck.  I ver...

The Further Adventures of Kai: Future Performer Extraordinaire!

My morning started of about 4:30 with Kaiden crying in his sleep thus waking up his lightly sleeping sister.  Husband and I both tried bringing them into our bed in hopes of a few more hours of sleep, but alas it was not to be.  Cheerios and milk and a good cartoon were the order of their day.  Breakfast went as well as could be expected given the hour and the obvious absence of their brother.  My kids just don't do well without their usual Dora, Blue and Backyardigans on the television!  Because Kian had been running quite a fever the night before, we let him sleep late.  Late turned out to be nearly 10:00 a.m. which is normally everybody’s nap-time.  I gave him his little breakfast on his “Sick” schedule and let the others play in the play-yard until they couldn't stay awake or pleasant any longer.  Once the hair pulling and fighting started, it would be nap time for babies!  Playtime turned out to be the root of baby troubles for the...

Multi-tasking Multiple Mommie: Can YOU Feed Three Babies ALL At the Same Time?

While you are pregnant, you find yourselves daydreaming of the day when you will get to hold your baby and rock him or her and feed them… When you are pregnant with more than one baby, you find yourself wondering how this is all going to work. As it turns out, there really isn’t too much out there on exactly how to achieve this seemingly impossible task. It would seem that the people who really know aren’t admitting to how exactly they do this. I can understand why, too. All the doctors tell you not to prop the bottle during every well baby exam, and the NICU nurses all have people who are there to specifically help with feedings. So the big question arises, how is it done? While in the hospital, my husband and I would make sure and make every possible feeding of our trio that was humanly possible with regards to our twelve year old son and his school schedule. I would get up each day and make the early feeding, run have lunch, then come back for the babies lunch feeding. Then I would ...
