Cursive Catastrophe In Shreveport, LA

Over the past few years, I have noticed something that I find rather alarming occurring in our local school system.  The problem appears to be more widespread than I had originally thought, too, as I have found reference to it in several other Mommie sites that I frequent.  Parents, look at your children's homework assignments. Have you noticed anything odd about them?  If your child is in the third grade or higher, are they still printing their answers and papers?  I would like for you to take a look at your child's work and really ask yourself something.  Does your child know how to write in cursive? I know it sounds like an odd question, but seriously.  Ask them and see what they say. When my son went to middle school for the first time last year, a rather frightening incident occurred.  Most of the kids could NOT write in cursive. Granted, they knew a little about how to write in cursive, but not enough to get their points across and get points for...
