Banning the Bottle: Going Cold Turkey

We received the bad news at our last Doctor’s appointment which also happened to be our One-year Well-Baby Appointment.  We needed to kick the bottle habit, get on the wagon, join ye-old baby-bottle twelve-step program, ASAP.  The doctor had mandated that we get rid of those much-loved bottles.  These are NOT the words any mother wants to hear: Them's fighting words, too. ANY Mother knows that weaning time means uncharted, unhappy territory ahead! We thought we are doing well just to have arrived at the doctor’s office on time and with all three of the triplets AND the twelve-year old in tow, only to be given THE NEWS.  “Bottles are addictive,” we were advised by our pediatrician.  We were advised that we had about a three month window to try and wean the triplets off of theirs before they entered the “Needy” stage which would make it really difficult, in fact, next to impossible, to wean them off of THE BOTTLE without a fight.  Wait, isn't EVERYTHING a fig...

 Enjoy corn mazes, pumpkin patches, haunted attractions, murdery mystery dinners & more! That fall chill is in the air which means that it's time for the 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms, y'all!  I don't know about you guys, but I cannot WAIT to head out to the farm with the kids for a breath of fresh air. I want to go get lost in their corn field, watch the kids jump in their jumpy-thing, root for my favorite piggy in the piggy races and just enjoy the beautiful fall day! There is SO much to do out there, I could easily spend the entire day AND evening out there.  If you have older kids, you CAN literally do exactly that on Fridays and Saturday nights with their Murder Mystery Dinners for us adults AND their Haunted Attraction features for the older kiddos!  How much fun can one place provide?
