Camping Supply-Shopping & Triplets at Target

Image
Today we had to make a Target run to stock up on camp things for my eldest.  He will leave in about a week for Camp Pioneer, a boy scout camp in Arkansas for a whole week's vacation from his siblings and family!  Being a typical pre-teen/tween kinda guy, he has his own little quirks and idiosyncrasies such as his habit of wanting to wear only jeans during the very hot and sweltering Louisiana summers and wearing any t-shirt that he has discovered hanging in his closet such as the very nice, very new yet long sleeved green army shirt that he decided to try and wear out yesterday.  Hmm... I really have to do some convincing and get him to change his wardrobe over to normal summer clothes somehow.  So, off to Target we went, triplets, stroller, 12 year old and all. I did manage to get him to pick out several pairs of very long, what I would label as "Skater" shorts as they are worn way past his knees (skaters wear these in some hopes of not skinning their knees!)...

A Different Sort of Day

Yesterday was a different sort of day for my tiny trio. The eldest of the three had a solo doctor's appointment to have his reflux monitored, leaving the other two at home together.  This sort of thing does not happen often. In fact, it's only ever happened once before that one of them had an appointment where the others didn't have to be there.  In this particular case, though, I had a sort of dilemma. I have been without a car for almost a month now due to the untimely death of husband's work truck, so transportation was quite the issue.  I managed to finagle a ride for Kai from my Daddy who has a very tiny Honda. He very bravely agreed to take Kai to his appointment for me. Kai takes these solo appointments VERY seriously.  He appears to feel quite grown up and takes care to be extra sweet and extra good for everyone.  At home, Vivienne and Kian revert back to their NICU days when they insisted upon acting as if they were twins.  They suddenly began to s...

A Multiple Survey-Tis a Bloggie Thing! Part 1 (Yeppers, With 3, You Get a Sequel!)

In what state do you live? Delirium! Just kidding, it's Louisiana How old are you? I was...33 (34 in August!) Age when you where pregnant with your multiples? 32 Were your multiples your first pregnancy? Nope! 2nd & LAST! How many children do you have? 4 How did you come up with the names for your multiples? Very, Very Carefully! See blog, "The Naming of Triplets!" What is your profession (if you're still working)? I WAS a Customer Service Supervisor for Budget Phone (a locally owned yet national pre-paid home phone service.)  I went back to work when the kids were about 2 and worked from home (yes, this was when the great lap-top dis-assembling caper went down!) If you are now a stay-at-home mom, what did you do before? Now I am a stay @home mum who writes independently for the stage...I am a working artist, have a small non-profit community theater & haunted attraction and maker of all the things. I blog/write & more. I'm a regular multi-tasking mom...
