🎃 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms 🎃

Image
Enjoy corn mazes, pumpkin patches, haunted attractions, murdery mystery dinners & more! That fall chill is in the air which means that it's time for the 2024 Fall Festival at DixieMaze Farms, y'all!  I don't know about you guys, but I cannot WAIT to head out to the farm with the kids for a breath of fresh air. I want to go get lost in their corn field, watch the kids jump in their jumpy-thing, root for my favorite piggy in the piggy races and just enjoy the beautiful fall day! There is SO much to do out there, I could easily spend the entire day AND evening out there.  If you have older kids, you CAN literally do exactly that on Fridays and Saturday nights with their Murder Mystery Dinners for us adults AND their Haunted Attraction features for the older kiddos!  How much fun can one place provide?  Everything you need to know to get ready for the 2024 school year

Overwhelmed by all of the changes in the regular school system currently?

Here are some Home-School Resources to help you learn more about the options available for you and your child.

If you choose to take the plunge, there are even links to help walk you through exactly what steps you should take first.

You will find the official links to the directions to get you officially withdrawn and registered with the state for home-school and more!

I've even included a few extra's for sports and extra-curricular activities as well that may help you if you opt for this new journey.

Don't want to go it alone? There are area home-school groups listed as well where you can find support and other parents ready to help.

Take a deep breath and explore new options and ideas for your family.

Registration For Home School

Here are the directions straight off of the Louisiana Department of Education website to help walk you through the process of learning about each available option and which one is right for your family.

Personally, I use the first option as it gives me greater freedom to choose what is right for my child. I paired this option with a tutor who helped us home-school him all throughout middle school which turned out to be the right choice for us.

Follow the instructions in the tutorial, and you will be all set.  The second option involves a bit more work on your part as a parent, but is just as doable as the first.

It just comes with a bit more record keeping and materials will need to be submitted for approval along with the application.

Either option is valid, it's up to personal choice as to which is right for your family.

Which way do I register?
